What Yiwu line lists at — per metre
Parsed from — spec variants on — product pages across — shops. Ranges are listed prices in CNY: not quotes, not contract prices, and not a recommendation of what to pay.
What a metre actually costs
Every listing carries several variants — carrier count, spool length, colour — each with its own price. Unit price hides this; price per metre does not.
—
Median listed price per metre across all priced variants that state a length.
—
Most common carton/pack quantity on the listing pages — the real order unit, not the "1 piece" minimum.
—
Share of variants carrying a price at all. The rest are "contact seller": the visible market is smaller than the real one.

Longer spools get cheaper per metre up to about 500 m. The 1000 m bucket mixes bulk reels with coarse rope-grade line, so read it as a mixed bag, not a trend line.
Line is cheap per unit and expensive per metre
Product-level view, for orientation only: a ¥3 spool and a ¥229 spool sit in the same market.

CNY per listing unit (spool, piece, set — the unit varies by listing, which is exactly why unit price is a poor comparison).
How this was collected, and what it misses
Public listings only
Shop pages and product pages on yiwugo.com, read with a normal browser user agent. No login, no CAPTCHA bypass, no rate-limit evasion — throttled responses were retried slowly and discarded when empty.
Variants, then medians
Specs are parsed from each variant's spec string (e.g. “12编/200m/十米一色”). Variants without a length cannot produce a per-metre figure: they are excluded from that table but kept in the counts.
Three honest caveats
① Specs come from listing text, not measurements. ② Listed prices exclude freight, tax and payment terms. ③ Coverage is partial: only shops with a public product list were crawled.
